Although we cannot use cost-prohibitive shopping carts on our web site, we wish to make the process of paying for your various retreat reservations or making much-appreciated donations as convenient as possible for the friends of the Oratory. This online payment page will be available for your use soon.
In that regard, we have started accepting funds through PayPal. PayPal is a secure purchasing system that allows you to pay online directly from your PayPal account (from your checking account) or via credit card. All you need to do to utilize PayPal for credit card purchases is to create an account using your email address as a user name, and a password of your choosing. You can then use your credit card for the items below. (Connecting your PayPal account to your checking account is a little longer process, taking 2-3 days for your checking information to be verified). We hope you will find this system more convenient than writing and mailing a check.
Fees for online payments through PayPal. You will note that there is a nominal charge of 2.9% + 30 cents added to our usual retreat costs. (i.e. $1.32 for a $35.00 purchase) to cover our PayPal banking fees. We hope that you will realize that this charge is less than, or certainly not much more than the cost of postage, envelope, and bank fees for a written check.
